Thanks to the frigid winds, dumping snow and icy roads, there is no denying that winter is here (even though the official start isn’t until December 21, according to the calendar). And while the days are getting shorter and the nights are certainly colder, there is a lot to be said about the good parts of the colder season, the parts that warm you up and keep you going until the sun returns – much-needed quality time with friends and family and the restoring feeling of “home.”
Whether your family spends your time sledding, ice skating or having the most epic snowball fight, everyone looks forward to returning to the house after a day of winter fun, and it’s not just the shelter from the elements that draws them there, it’s the warmth and comfort that a home provides. The memories of quality time spent with loved ones and the delicious and comforting meals that we’ve shared are more than enough to keep us warm through the winter.
It’s this warm and fuzzy feeling (and a little bit of the cold weather) that has inspired us this week to share 12 of our favorite honey-inspired comfort foods. From tomato soup and grilled cheese to fried chicken and even apple pie, these recipes highlight honey’s versatility throughout the kitchen and are sure to keep your hearts warm and your bellies full.
