Confectionary Companies Offer Unique Touches for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is coming up on May 10, and this day will be more unique than ever due to social distancing and stay-at-home orders in the majority of U.S. cities. It’s a holiday where more phone calls are made than any other day, and that number is sure to rise astronomically for 2020. 
 

Candy is a top gift for mom during Mother’s Day with total U.S. retail sales of $23.1 billion and total online sales at $6.9 billion, according to Bloomberg and the National Retail Federation. Online candy and chocolate sales are sure to surge in the next couple of weeks, thanks in part to confectionary companies that want to honor the mom in a special way while practicing social distancing. 


For example, Theo Chocolate, which has committed to making chocolate delivery easier and safer, has developed a vast Theo-To-Go menu that includes the Honey Bee 7-Piece Confection Collection. These handmade chocolates include two honey cashew pralines, three honey saffron caramels, one orange blossom nougat, and one honeycomb candy.

Mom can say she taste-tested made with honey chocolate from the Winner of the 2020 Best Chocolatier in the Americas: Delysia Chocolatier. The Austin, TX-based company recently won the Six Star Award, Grand Master by the International Chocolate Salon Awards, one of only eight chocolatiers in the western hemisphere to achieve the ranking, according to Confectionary News.
